Panic in Warri, Delta Over Incessant Cases of Gas Flaring (Photos)

Residents of the Ekpan area of Warri, Delta State are currently lamenting on the the protracted case of gas flaring from oil facilities polluting the environment.

The Warri Refining and Petrochemical Company is fast becoming a menace in the South-south part of Nigeria with intense pollution that has been putting the health of residents in danger.

 

 

 

 

A social media user resident in the Ekpan area has this to say:

"For the past two days these smokes as a result of gas flaring at the refinery has been a thing of worry to the Ekpan residents of the oil rich Warri City. We see this once in a while before just for some hours but now for days it has been this serious.

"The effects of this polution is far more expensive to the N145 per litre PMS they are processing for us. This pictures were taken from my residential apartment in Delta State"
